Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Work in 12-hour shifts in a rotating 24×7 schedule. You will have roughly 15 working days and 15 days off per month
- Proactively monitor network equipment for local and global customers using monitoring tools (Solarwinds NPM and Nagios)
- Assist our NOC Analyst with communication with customers and providers via email and telephone
- Assist our NOC Analyst in performing Level 1 troubleshooting of network issues
- Keep track and update tickets and documentation on pending/resolved issues
Internship Objective:
- Share and expose the trainees with real-life working environment in IX Telecom
- Educate trainees with essential knowledge in the telecommunications industry
- Conduct hands on training on Cisco Routers & Switches configuration
Internship Outcome:
- Trainee’s understanding of what IX Telecom offers to the telecommunications industry
- Trainees are able to handle issues and enhance their technical skills in the networking area
- Trainees are able to perform basic configuration of Cisco IOS on Router and Switch with a practical project
